We inform and equip young men in Kenya - high schoolers, university students and young professionals - with the tools they need to become exemplary men.

The Manliness Project (MP) is an initiative of a group of young professionals who've decided to do something about the boy child and the quest for manliness.
Through seminars and workshops for large groups, or mentoring and coaching for individuals, through eat-ins and outings, MP aspires to inform and equip young men in Kenya - whether high schoolers, university students or young professionals - with the tools they need to make concrete and steady progress in their maturing as exemplary men.
By its very nature, manliness is a composite concept. For this reason, MP's informing and equipping spans four broad areas of a man's life: his physical life (sports and fitness), his intellectual life (academics and profession), his spiritual life (religion and ethics) and his emotional life (mental health).

Manliness is a continuous journey. MP picks up the baton from the time a boy is initiated and begins life first as a secondary school student. From there, he may progress to tertiary learning and finally to work life.
Because it is the same individual traversing these different stages and seeking the same manliness, there are aspects that will feature throughout the MP regardless of age.
However, because the interests and challenges of these three groups are also distinct, there are some elements of manliness that are age-appropriate. MP has endeavoured to reflect this in her programmes and activities. We serve the following 3age groups:

Manliness is by and large a practical exercise. It is not so much knowing but being - doing.
That said, "the most practical thing is a good theory". A practice founded on a shaky theory will itself be shaky. For this reason MP does expend quite some resources and a good share of its activities on sharing solid theories on manliness and the different elements of manliness. These activities could be half day or full day seminars, overnight workshops or weekend conferences facilitated by different speakers from different fields and professions.
Further, because no man is an island, because we are all struggling as men towards the same manly goal, some of MP's activities are geared towards forming solid friendships and learning from each other. These activities include chilled out eat-ins, challenging hikes or rejuvenating camps.
